ITINERARY
Ideal for the independent traveller, with 4 nights in London, an included half day sightseeing tour & plenty of time to explore at your leisure. Then take the fast route to France on the high speed Eurostar, for 3 nights in Paris, with included sightseeing & time to really get to know this glittering capital city.
DAY 1 – SUN – ARRIVE LONDON
Welcome to London - an immense metropolis steeped in history and tradition! Later we have an informative meeting and Welcome Drink with our Insight local host.
DAYS 2, 3, 4 – LONDON AT LEISURE
Soak up the city sights on our included sightseeing tour. We drive through the West End of London seeing Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column, Downing Street, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. We also admire historic Westminster Abbey, where kings and queens have been crowned since 1065. Why not complete your stay with a visit to the great museums, such as the Natural History, British or Victoria & Albert? Harrods is a must for shoppers, and don't forget to visit London's world renowned theatres. Perhaps take a day to explore further afield on a full, or half-day trip to a choice of destinations? We suggest a morning at Windsor Castle; a full day to Stonehenge and Bath, to Shakespeare's Stratford, or to Churchill's birthplace at Blenheim Palace. DAY 5 – THU – LONDON – PARIS
This morning we meet our Tour Director who escorts us to Waterloo Station for our Eurostar Express train to Paris. After just two and a half hours, having passed through the historic Channel Tunnel, we arrive in Paris, and transfer to our hotel. Now we are at leisure in this romantic city. Perhaps an optional tour of the Paris illuminations tonight? (Full Breakfast)
DAYS 6 & 7 – PARIS AT LEISURE
Our half day sightseeing tour includes the Opera House, the Place Vendome, the Madeleine, the Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe. We also see the famous symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. Then relax in one of the open air cafés, or perhaps ascend the Eiffel Tower or go shopping at the Galleries Lafayette! Tonight maybe enjoy dinner in an atmospheric Parisian bistro or experience a dazzling cabaret show? (Continental Breakfast)
DAY 8 – SUN – PARIS
